China's First space walk

Celebration of the Shenzhou VII astronauts Zhai Zhigang completed China's first spacewalk!

There are two things which amaze me. One is the picture in which Zhai Zhigang was walking in space with his hand grasping the handrail on the spacecraft, floating towards space.

I have seen American astronauts and Russian astronauts before, but I have never been so excited like today. (I had never known that I would be so excited until I saw it)

Another is the sunset in the space. The aureate light, never forgettable.

grammar

I tried to use this three sentences to present the same meaning, but which is the best one? Is there any error in them?

I had never known that I would be so excited until I saw it.
before I saw it, I didn't know I would be so excited.
I have never thought that one day I could be so excited.
